It was a chance email to a friend about my experience working at The Brotherhood of St Laurence’s EMC office that started me off on my writing and storytelling journey. Although, a voluntary position, I was entrusted with their newsletters, external emails and editing various communications.

Over the past 20 years, I have created and written engaging content for an inter-generational and diverse audience. My skills include managing and coordinating content creation from inception to delivery, external and internal communications – print and online, and editing and proofreading.

As a communications professional I create content for medical, not-for-profit organisations, and small entrepreneurs.

Since 2020 I have created content and discussed community issues with subject matter experts on my weekly webcast – Chai, Chat & Community with huge engagement.

In 2021 my short story, A Day under the Sun, was published as part of the SHE Collective.

My content creation is all about telling a story and some of my stories have been featured in the Reader’s Digest and ABC’s Drive program.

My pro-bono work includes hosting a weekly webcast – Chai, Chat & Community – where I discuss topical and swept under-the-carpet South Asian community issues with subject matter experts.

I am also on the Board of two not-for-profit organisations. IndianCare and PeaceMeals
